Mini Beauty Haul - Topshop, MAC, Ardell

Hi Guys!

To get myself started back into blogging I thought i'd show you just a couple of bits that i've recently picked up. I've tried to not spend too much money in January but I was in Amsterdam a couple of days ago for my boyfriends birthday so passed duty free and I also had a Topshop voucher. So here's what I got...

MAC Stone Lipstick

I've wanted this lipstick for what seems like forever since I've heard so many Youtubers raving about it. I'm yet to try it but love how it looks and it is such a unique colour for me as it's something I'm not used to. Hopefully you'll see this in a favourites post soon!

Topshop Mink Lipstick

As I said I had a Topshop voucher and I took this oppurtunity to try out one of their lipsticks. I swatched all the colours that my local store had but this is the one that stuck out most to me. I worn it a couple of times in the last week and I love it, it's the perfect browny mauve shade and is so creamy. I definitely want to pick up more shades of the Topshop lipsticks as supposedly they're made in the same factory as MAC and there formulas are identical.

Ardell Natural Demi Wispies

Another product I've wanted to try for so long, mainly because of Youtuber Nicole Guerriero. I have no eyelash application skills so I always give up and end up just packing on mascara instead but supposedly these lashes are great for beginners and are also stunning so i'm ready to give them a go!

Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask

Another product I picked up in Topshop mainly because I love face masks. At the moment I pretty much only use the Mask of Magnaminty from Lush but I want to try out some new great, affordable ones. I got this mask in the scent strawberry + yarrow so i'm interested to see how this makes my skin feel as it's meant to target clogged pores.

MAC Ellie Goulding I'll Hold My Breath Blush/Bronzer Duo

Last but not least is this MAC duo. Personally I'm not bothered by Ellie Goulding as a singer but I really did love the look of this collection. I only picked up this product however because I thought it would be perfect for travel as it is a 2-in-1 product. I've tried out the bronzer a few times now and its a sheer natural pretty bronze but I do really like how it sits on my foundation. I am yet to try the blush as to me it is more of a spring/summer colour but it swatches very creamy and pigmented.

That's all the products i've picked up recently so I hope you enjoyed! If there's any new products you recommend let me know!

Thanks for reading,
Beth xoxo

Tartelette Palette Review and Swatches

Hi Guys!
Sorry that it's been a while but I had a bit of an accident last week and fell and cut my face so no tutorials for a while!
Anyway I picked up the Tarte Tartelette palette last month after waiting forever to get my hands on it! It's difficult to get Tarte in the UK so I ended up getting it on amazon for a little bit more than the normal price.

The palette is a combination of the perfect neutral matte shades and is paired into 3 lines which almost create looks in themselves. My favourite line is the middle as it creates a pinky mauvey Kylie Jenner look. The shades are not the most pigmented in the world however they are so creamy for a powder and blend to perfection.

I've swatched all of the shades on my arm in order.....
From left to right - Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer, Multi-tasker, Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend, Bombshell, Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player, Fashionista

Overall I think this palette has a great combination of matte shades; especially neutrals and there are so many great looks to be made. As for quality I think there are better on the market as individual shades however I am yet to find such a great all matte palette.

Hope you enjoyed!

Spring Makeup Essentials

Hi Guys!
As the weather has been amazing recently in the UK and we're finally in spring, I thought I'd do a post on my spring makeup essentials! Some of these products are new to my collection and some I've had forever! So here's my picks...

MAC Strobe Cream

I've recently been using this under my foundation as a base or mixed in with it to add a beautiful natural glow to the skin. It's perfect for spring/summer as it creates a dewy finish to any foundation without looking sweaty. I will be buying the full size of this soon!

MAC Face and Body Foundation

I have this shade a bit darker than my normal skin colour as I use it when I'm tanned - especially on holiday. Its a water based foundation and is so light weight on the skin so is perfect for summer! Its also waterproof yet still gives good coverage. My perfect summer foundation!

MUA Spring Break Eyeshadow Palette

I only picked up this palette today but the colours and pigmentation are amazing for just £4! The light blue shade (Bottom row, 4th in) is the perfect spring shade for adding a pop of colour to any look! I love using these shades to smoke out my lower lash line for a more wearable colourful look.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Soft and Gentle

I don't have many highlighting products but this is definitely my favourite. Again doing the same as the Strobe Cream, this is perfect for a dewy glowing look. I apply this on the very top of my cheekbones with a fan brush and it gives the most beautiful radiant glow!

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream - Petal

I also only picked this product up this morning but have been wearing it all day and loving it. I have a red from this Matte Me collection and think the formula is incredible. They apply as a lip cream or liquid lipstick and within a minute they are completely matte and will not budge. I love a matte lip and think that this colour is perfect for spring!

MAC Dreaming Dahlia

Tanned skin and coral lips is always the dream look for me during summer. I picked this lipstick up last year and I'm pretty sure it was from the 'A Fantasy of Flowers' MAC collection but don't quote me on that... There's so many good coral/orange lipsticks at the drugstore however this is my favourite coral shade that I own! A definite must for summer.

MAC Kelly Yum-Yum

This lipstick was from the Kelly Osborne collection at MAC and the colour to me just screams summer! I find it so hard to wear these bright pink lip colours during winter as I personally just don't think it looks right so I'll definitely be getting good use out of this in the upcoming months! MAC no longer sell this lipstick however it is almost identical to their shade 'Candy Yum Yum' so check it out!

That brings me to the end of my Spring Makeup Essentials! Are there any products you can recommend to me for spring? I will be doing a tutorial soon and will incorporate some of these products into it!
Hope you enjoyed,
Beth xo

5 Makeup Products Under £5

Hey everyone!
As i've been trying to not buy makeup recently i've been trying to shop my collection and recently I found some great drugstore products that I had forgot about! I wanted to share them with you in a 5 makeup products under £5 post as I thought it was a great way for money saving beauty lovers! I will also be doing 10 products under £10 soon but for now here are these little beauties...

1. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr - 70 Metallic Pomegranate - £4.99

This is quite a new product for me and I have only used it twice. It is my only product from this collection but now I want so many more! I love this shade as it is not too bold yet is in no way neutral so encourages me to venture out more to the bright side! As for the actual product, it did seem to last the majority of the day without fading, creasing or flaking which is perfect especially for it's price!

2. MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter - Iridescent Gold - £3.00

Again this is a newer purchase for me as I was desperate to get my hands on the pinker shade however this was all they had in my local Superdrug and for £3.00 I picked it up anyway. This is a very glittery highlight and can look just like glitter instead of a highlighting shimmer however in the right light this can look to die for! I still want to get the rose shade to see how it compares but for £3.00 it really can give an intense highlight.

3. Milani Lipsticks - 11 Fruit Punch, 26 Nude Crème, 27 Dulce Caramelo - $5.99 (£3.98 approx)

I got these last year while away on holiday as they don't sell Milani in stores here in the UK. I LOVE these lipsticks as they are so pigmented and smell like watermelon. These were the only 3 they had left in store where I was but I'm dying to get my hands on some more Milani lipsticks, especially their new matte range. I love the gold packaging and my favourite lipstick out of the 3 I own is Nude Crème as it is the perfect nude shade for me, love!

4. NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder - 720A Sunny - £1.99

This is such a staple piece in mine and I think a lot of other beauty lover's collections! Definitely one of the cheapest products in my collection but there's nothing that shows that! The product is definitely a bronzer and not a contouring powder as it has quite orangey brown undertone but it's perfect for that effortless summer matte look, I think I will always repurchase this bronzer.

5. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara - Blackest Black - £4.99

Growing up whenever I was allowed to wear makeup, this product always sticks out as being something I would wear. Because of this it was one of the first makeup products I purchased myself and I've always had him in my collection since! I used to use this on all of my lashes as when I was younger it would provide me with the perfect natural lash look however now that I prefer a more fuller lash, I only use this on my bottom lashes. It has a very thin wand and also thin consistency of product which makes it perfect for using on my bottom lashes and I use it almost every single day!

So that is the end of my 5 Makeup Products for Under £5! What did you think? Would a £10 version still be beneficial? Personally I love beauty related posts that help me to save money so hopefully you will too!
Hope you enjoyed reading this,

Mini Haul - Superdrug

Hey Guys!
I posted a picture on my instagram (@lasheslinerlove) on Monday of a little super drug haul! I wasn't even planning on going but ran in when it was 5 minutes from closing which probably stopped me from buying more! The majority of the products are lip products, all but one! So here's what I got....

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick - Firefly 755

This was a random purchase for me as I honestly don't think I've ever purchased from Max Factor before. I was looking for the perfect lipstick to pair with my MAC Whirl Lipliner to get that desired Kylie Jenner lip colour and this took my eye. It's a mauve shade with a satin texture and when I tried it at home it does work perfectly with Whirl! I also love the gold packaging as I have it displayed in a lipstick stand so it looks very pretty!

MUA Matte Lipstick - Pouty Pink

Matte lipsticks are my favourite formula for lipsticks so when I saw these were only £1 I had to grab one and this shade was the only one left in my store. The colour swatches a lot brighter than the pink on the packaging but it does seem like great quality for the price! This will be perfect for the transition in to spring!

MUA Blusher - Cupcake

Another MUA product that I picked up for £1! I really want to try experimenting with different blushes as I always stick to the same ones so I only own a few. I'm yet to try this but the colour looks very natural and how wrong can you go when a products only £1?

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer - Serene

Can you tell I was on a bit of an MUA hype? I'm loving the liquid lipstick trend at the moment and this looked promising. Again I'm yet to try this but the packaging is so cute with a frosted finish around the tube and the actual product itself is a pretty baby pink shade. This was only £3 which again is a great price for the product, especially if you're on a budget so I'm excited to try this!

L'oreal Color Riche Lipstick Intense Blondes - Cassis Passion 376

L'oreal for me has always been a strong drugstore brand however I used their face products and have never tried a lipstick from them. This colour stood out as it's a warm deep red, almost a berry red and swatches SO creamy. I love the gold L'oreal packaging and after this purchase will definitely be picking up some more in this range.

Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm - Elusive 205

I picked this up as I knew I already loved this line as I have another shade from it. For a matte lip product its very moisturising; which is where the balm comes into action so it feels more velvety yet looks matte. The shade is a baby pink and the product itself is very thick and opaque. I find that these matte balms tend to stay on for a good few hours which is great for a drugstore product.

So that's all I picked up! What are you currently loving from the drugstore? Clearly i'm loving pinks! Let me know if there's anything you think I should checkout.

Beth xo

Makeup of the day: Night Out

Hey Guys!
On Monday night I went to a club in Bournemouth where Callum Best was hosting his Birthday party. I ended up not even meeting him but took pictures of my makeup when I was getting ready! I've been trying to use things in my collection that I never reach for so here's what I used....

For a primer I used my travel sized MAC Strobe Cream which gives an amazing dewy glow to the skin through your foundation. I also used some Maybelline Baby Lips to moisturise my lips while I do the rest of my makeup. I've been loving L'oreal True Match at the moment so used this for my foundation. I then primed my eyes with MAC Paint pot in Soft Ochre. This is where I wanted to use some products that I hardly ever use... I put down my MAC Palette and picked up my MUA Undress Me Too Palette. I used the shade Lavish (5th from the left on the top row) mixed with Benefit Hoola in my crease for more definition. I then darkened up the outer v with Obsessed (5th from the left on the bottom row). For the lid I used MAC Lily-White Pigment from their A Fantasy of Flowers collection. I love the colour of this but for some reason have hardly ever used it before!

For eyeliner, I used my ever trusty L'oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim - Intense Black on the top as it's so easy to draw on your liner as close to your lash line as possible. For my lower water line I used MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil - Engraved and it stayed on all night! Moving back onto my face, for concealer I used my Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Eye - Light and then to bronze, used Benefit Hoola again! I used my MAC Powder Blush in Desert Rose and then blended it in along with my bronzer. For eyebrows, I used my Sleek MakeUp Brow Kit - Dark and just used the powder. To finish off my face I used MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder - Medium and then used MAC Fix+ all over the face to add to the dewy finish.

For lashes I used Benefit They're Real on top and then Maybelline Great Lash Mascara on my bottom lashes. I then lined my lips with MAC Whirl Lipliner and then filled in my lips with Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm - Elusive which I had just bought that day and really loved. And that completes the look! I know it wasn't very intense reviews on everything but was more for the products!

What's your go-to look for a night out? Or do you normally experiment with new things?
